- Drilling by feelStop the drill bit in the right layer – two misses and you have a blowout. Plus seismic surveys, investigations, negotiations and a pipeline leak: six mini games.
- A market that reactsSupply and demand move the price. Store oil, buy more and wait for better days. The Gulf War drives it up, the Asian crisis pushes it down to ten dollars.
- Reputation, not a scoreWork cleanly and you get better contracts and cheaper credit. Sabotage a rival and expect investigators at your door.
- Decisions that costTwo men in good coats want protection money. Pay, refuse, or report them? Every answer follows you for months.
- Stock market and takeoversGo public, pay yourself dividends, buy into your rivals – until the competition authority objects.
- Scenarios and languagesThree difficulty levels, four scenarios such as “Broke in 1995” or “North Sea only”. In German, English, Spanish and French.
Eleven regions, each with its own risk
Every region has its own land prices, drilling depths, transport costs and dangers. You start with these four – Venezuela, Siberia, the Caspian Sea, West Africa and more open up over the years. Whoever has the most valuable company at the end of 1999 wins.

Frequently asked questions
- How do I win?
- The game runs from January 1990 to December 1999. Whoever has the most valuable company at the end – cash plus fields, derricks and oil in storage, minus debt – wins.
- Is my game saved?
- Yes, automatically and locally on your device. Deleting the app deletes your saved games.
- Can I continue on another device?
- Not at the moment. Saved games are not synced between devices.
- How do I turn off music or sound effects?
- In the app’s settings you can switch music and effects separately and adjust their volume. If another app is playing music, the game music stays silent.
- Why does my field suddenly have a new owner?
- In the Middle East, fields can be nationalised for a while. They become available again once the period shown has passed.
- Does the app collect data about me?
- No. The details are in the privacy policy.
