In short

Crude Ambition does not collect any personal data and passes none on to us or to third parties. There is no account, no advertising, no analytics and no tracking.

What is stored on your device

• your saved games
• the list of your best games
• your settings such as difficulty, music and sound

This data stays on your device and we have no access to it. If you use iCloud Backup, Apple may include it in your device backup. Deleting the app removes it.

Game Center

If you are signed in to Game Center, the app submits your results for leaderboards and achievements to Apple. Apple processes your Game Center name and player ID for this. If you are not signed in, nothing is sent.

We receive none of this data and store none of it. Apple’s processing is governed by Apple’s privacy policy: apple.com/legal/privacy/en-ww

World map (Apple Maps)

The in-game world map uses Apple Maps. To display it, your device loads map tiles from Apple, which receives technically necessary connection data such as your IP address. Your location is not requested.

Crash reports via Apple

If you have agreed in iOS Settings to share analytics with app developers, Apple provides us with anonymised crash reports and usage statistics that cannot identify you. You can turn this off at any time under Settings › Privacy & Security › Analytics & Improvements.

This website

When you visit this website, our web server processes technically necessary data in log files: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, browser and operating system. This is required to deliver the site and run it securely (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are deleted after 14 days at the latest unless needed to investigate a security incident.

The website sets no cookies, uses no scripts and loads no content, fonts or services from third parties. The connection is encrypted.

If you email us, we use your message and address only to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once they are no longer needed for that purpose.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability and objection (Art. 15 to 21 GDPR). Just send us an email. You can also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

Should the app ever process data differently, we will update this policy beforehand.
